There are moments when God shows up in a way that changes everything. This was one of those moments. As worship filled the room, there was a sense that something in the atmosphere was shifting — hearts opening, chains breaking, and lives being set free.
The presence of God has a way of doing that. It doesn’t just inspire emotion; it brings transformation.
Isaiah 61 says, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor… to heal the brokenhearted… to proclaim liberty to the captives.” This isn’t just poetic language — it’s a promise that the Spirit of God still heals, still delivers, and still breathes life into dry places.
The truth is, many of us come to church carrying heaviness we never meant to wear. The Bible calls it a “spirit of heaviness,” and God’s answer for it is a garment of praise. You have a choice every time you walk through the doors — what will you wear? You can wear discouragement, distraction, or self-consciousness, or you can choose to put on praise.
Worship is not a mood. It’s a decision.
Sometimes we say, “I just don’t feel like it.” But feelings follow choices. When we choose to praise, even when it’s hard, something begins to shift. The same way a workout hurts at first but brings strength, praise stretches your soul and awakens your spirit. It realigns your heart with heaven.
And when praise fills the room, freedom fills the people.
Ezekiel 37 gives us one of the most powerful images of revival in Scripture — a valley of dry bones coming to life by the breath of God. God asked Ezekiel, “Can these bones live?” and Ezekiel answered, “Lord, you know.” Then God said, “Prophesy to these bones.”
As Ezekiel spoke, the bones began to rattle. What was dead began to move. Flesh and sinew came together. And finally, when the breath of God entered them, they stood up — a vast army filled with life.
That same Spirit still moves today.
For many of us, the valley isn’t a place we visit — it’s where we live. We walk through dry seasons, numb faith, and spiritual exhaustion. But God is still breathing life into His people. He’s calling the church — His church — to rise again.
At The Valley, God is doing something special. He’s not just filling seats; He’s filling hearts with His Spirit. He’s raising people who were once dry and weary into men and women who carry His breath into the world.
But it starts with surrender. It starts with saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” It means turning off the noise, silencing distractions, and inviting Him to speak again. Because He still speaks. And when He does, everything changes.
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is still raising dry bones to life — right here, right now, in the valley.
